Iligan City — Months after the Department of Health (DOH) officially turned over the Super Health Center (SHC) to the City Government of Iligan, the facility remains not fully functional, raising questions from residents and local stakeholders.
The Super Health Center was envisioned to provide essential medical and diagnostic services to the public. However, despite the completion and turnover, several sections of the facility are reportedly still not operational.
In a recent statement, City Administrator Darwin Manubag in facebook and Dr. Glenn Manarpaac confirmed that the Super Health Center is expected to be fully functional by 2026.
However, according to the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the DOH and the LGU, the facility should already be operational after the turnover to ensure immediate public access to its services.
Residents have since expressed concern and called for clarity regarding the delay, emphasizing that the project was funded by public funds and should benefit taxpayers as soon as possible.
